I taught Choir, Drama, Sectionals, and Ville Harmonic (a cappella).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I focused on the song I would conduct, <em>Come Alive<\/em>, as well a<em>s<\/em> <em>Diraiton<\/em> (especially the French diction) and Let the River Run. The second was a unit based on a folk song that worked on different voices (whispering, speaking, singing) and an ocean soundscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s part of a lesson in the first unit where I introduce traditional notation after preparing quarter and eighth notes with different bugs: snail, worm, ant, and beetle.<br>This also allows for a cross-curricular connection to syllables!<\/p>\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"embed-pdf-viewer\" src=\"https:\/\/elizabethdondlinger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Downloadable-K_1-1-1.pdf\" height=\"600\" width=\"600\" title=\"Downloadable K_1-1\"><\/iframe>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Montoursville Area High School Montoursville, PA At my second student teaching placement, I worked with cooperating teacher Kirstin Gist.
